Nima Ghaemi has been working as a Registered Clinical Counsellor since 2004. He has a Master’s degree in Counselling psychology. He specializes in mental health and couples and family counselling. He has over 17 years of experience in providing counselling to individuals, couples, and families. He uses evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, and solution focused therapy in his practice. He is also a hypnotherapist and uses hypnosis alongside other modalities in his practice. He has also had a personal interest in spirituality and the meaning of life. He meditates and has also led meditation groups in the past. In 2016, he designed a mental fitness program to promote mental health, general wellbeing, life satisfaction, and self-actualization. He has run many workshops on mental fitness. He believes the goal is not to avoid illness but to be the best that you can be. This is the essence of mental fitness and it is the philosophy behind his work with people.
